Activation of PROGHCS08-Flash programmer is not possible

I ordered a license for the PROGHCS08-Flash programmer over my company supply manager. In the end I got a license that is called “PROG-HL-HCS08” but is not able to activate the software mentioned. The activation form seems not to recognize the license key at all.

Do I need another license or what could be the problem?

Potentially 2 problems:
1) You are trying to activate a older software that you already have installed on your computer. Make sure you downloaded the latest version that came with the license key.

2) You are getting an error that the license will not work with your hardware. If that is the case, please tell me which PEmicro hardware you are using. The part number is on the sticker on the back of the multilink. Please mention the revision (REV) of this device to allow me to help you.

Most likely our Programmer (the hardware) not supported by this license anymore. We bought a new one, but it has not arrived so far, so we could not test.
