Hi,

A follow-up on the call that we had on the phone this week, to make sure I figured out correctly the capabilities of the system and to finalize the selection of the product to purchase.

We’re currently developing on SJA1110 microcontroller from NXP, with the NXP S32DS IDE and debugging with PE Micro Multilink Universal FX .

We are now starting to produce series 0 boards and we want our factories to be able to easily program those boards. NXP IDE is not an option due to its intrinsic complexity.

I got from the call that "PROG flash programming software" could be paired with the Multilink Universal Fx debugger to obtain a basic programming station.

It should also have the ability to run scripts that would program the devices.

I also got that PROG flash programming software is bounded to a specific Multilink Universal Fx debugger hardware, without the capability to be unbounded and later bounded to a new one.

A few questions:

If the Sw is bound to a specific debugger, I will setup the environment and the scripts in R&D, then send everyithing to the factory (a hundred km from us), including the debugger.

•   Can the "PROG flash programming software" be installed on more than a machine, even if bound to a single hardware ? (I wouldn't send my laptop to the factory)
•   Is it possible to specify a flash algorithm to be used? (we are doing the same with the NXP IDE, due to a non-standard flash device, with an algorithm you sent us)
•   What product code can be purchased for the SJA1110 ? Is it the PROG-HL-ARM ?

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards,
Marco

• Can the "PROG flash programming software" be installed on more than a machine, even if bound to a single hardware ? (I wouldn't send my laptop to the factory)

Yes, you can install the software on more than one PC. It just needs to be the version that you purchased a license for.

• Is it possible to specify a flash algorithm to be used? (we are doing the same with the NXP IDE, due to a non-standard flash device, with an algorithm you sent us)

Yes you can specify the exact algorithm in the programming script (cfg file). You probably want to use CPROG to script the programming. Please refer to the CPROG manual.

• What product code can be purchased for the SJA1110 ? Is it the PROG-HL-ARM ?

yes, PROG-HL-ARM
