We recently performed a trial using the STM32U5A5AJ MCU as a replacement for the STM32U5G7. However, we're encountering an issue during programming with the Cyclone programmer.
The flash memory does not erase properly, resulting in only previously-erased areas being programmed successfully. The rest of the flash remains unchanged. Cyclone throws Error 300 during the programming process.
To investigate further, we manually erased the flash using STM32CubeProgrammer. After that, we programmed the MCU using Cyclone without the erase command, and it worked as expected — the code was programmed correctly.
This suggests that the issue lies in the flash erase process when initiated via Cyclone.
Could you please assist us in identifying the cause and recommend a proper solution or setting for successful erase and program using the Cyclone with STM32U5A5AJ?

CM – Load the .arp file:
Algorithm used: STM32U5A5AJ_4MB.arp
QO – Select the SREC file.
EM – Erase Module.
PM – Program Module.
VM – Verify Module.

Our MCU part number is STM32U5G7VJT6J. However, this specific part is not listed in the Cyclone Image Creation Tool (Version V9.77.00) under the STM32U5 series.
As a result, we are currently considering the alternate part STM32U5A5AJ, as suggested by the ST Team, for image creation and programming.

I was able to resolve the issue with the STM32U5 support and added the STM32U5Fx and STM32U5Gx devices to the support. This update therefore includes the requested STM32U5G7VJ support. We plan to release the updated support with our next update. In the meantime, I sent to your email a download with the updated STM32U5 support that you can test now. Download the ZIP file from the link sent to your email and extract all the files. Copy/paste the files into the directory [.../cyclone/supportfiles/supportFiles_ARM/ST/STM32U5] where your cyclone software is installed. Once the files are pasted, you will be able to select the STM32U5G7VJ device next time you open the image creation utility or PROGACMP software.
