Hello dear P&E Micro Team,

is it possible to release a license again when computers are replaced and the license activations have been used up by then?

As far as I know, the licenses are currently tied to the hardware, is that still the case?

I would be very pleased to hear from you.

Kind regards

Hello Mr. Klute,

Thank you for reaching out. If your installation code begins with V1 then this is no longer possible, unfortunately. Those were single-user, PC-based licenses, but users often treated them like 3 single-user licenses. We began transitioning to a hardware-based license in April 2020, and the new "V2" license system is now the only supported system.

The "V2" licensed software can be installed onto any PC and the licensed Multilink works as a key that will activate the s/w while the Multilink is connected via USB. The licensed Multilink can be shared by different users at different times, but if more than one user needs to use it at the same time, then they would each need their own license.

Please refer to this article for more information and feel free to follow up with any questions you might have, thanks.
