Do I need to purchase a P&E Multilink sw licens for MPC5748g processors?

  • The Multilink page has an entry for QOrriva processor software licenses. I believe that the MPC5748G belongs to that line, but I'm a little confused regarding the classification of PowerPC architectures.

Do I need to purchase an additional software license for the P&E Multilink or P&E Multilink FX in order to debug that processor?

  • Greetings,

The multilinks come with no software, so you will need to purchase a license for ICD PPCNEXUS software:

Confusion comes from Freescale/NXP on how they name their products. Qorivva is the umbrella term for MPC or SPC 55xx/56xx/57xx devices. PPC BDM is the term for devices with MPC 5xx/8xx, where 'x' are numbers and not letters. INdeed MPC5748G fits under the MPC57xx and hence it is a PowerPC Nexus device also known as Qorivva.

    • Thank you for your answer to my question.
