Can't connect to SPC5602D

  • Hello,
I have a USB Multilink universal FX and the starter version of PPCNexus. I'm trying to get access to a SPC5602D Microcontroller. I didn't program that device and I'm not sure if this is censored.
When I connect it I get back this message in the connection Window:
can't communicate with the target processor....
i get an IDCODE :00000244 and id revision $00000001
it shows: debugger retrying to force to background mode. is this the point were it gets stuck when the wrong censorship password is entered?

  • Greetings,

Yes, if the ID code is detected but you cannot enter debug, then it means the chip is probably censored and you cannot go forward.

  • is it possible to find out the censorship password?

  • Greetings,

If you find the original binary file that was used to program the device, then yes. Otherwise, no because that would completely defeat the purpose of censoring the device.
