p_paddr vs p_vaddr

  • Trying to program the internal flash on a Freescale MPC5554 at our supplier.

There are 2 images, the first one uses the p_paddr field, and they are able to load it. The second file does not use the p_paddr field and results in an "Error during programming".

These ELF files have been used for several years. In the past, with Programmer V1.10, there would be a warning box that popped up prompting the user if they wanted to use the p_paddr or p_vaddr field. And we would select the appropriate option for the file being loaded.
There is also a checkbox there for "Don't ask again" so the warning will not reappear.

The supplier is now using version 6.22.00.00
Assuming this warning still appears in the 6.22 version, I suspect they checked the "Dont ask again" by mistake, and now they cant select the option for using the p_vaddr field when loading the 2nd file.

Is there a way to get that warning to reappear?
Or maybe we need to switch to a command line script if it can be specified there.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Greetings,

Try deleting the DSK file within the PROGCFZ folder. This file holds default information and by deleting it the PROGCFZ will regenerate a new one as if you are using the software for the first time.
