EEPROM programming via Multilink
Tau S. Dec 19, 2017 at 07:07 AM (07:07 hours)
Staff: Juan S.

  • Hi, we have in our products an external SPI EEPROM connected to MC56F8345 / 56F84789.

What I would like to know is whether I can use the Multilink FX to program this EEPROM? If not, is there a product which will do this?

  • HI Tau,

Currently, none of our products supports programming external SPI EEPROM connected to MC56F8345 / 56F84789.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any third party tools that provides SPI EEPROM support for DSC. I tried searching the NXP website for suggestions but none was listed.

Have you tried contacting NXP tech support?

  • Hello Juan,
thanks for your reply. I'll ask NXP, but this is not high priority at the moment.
    best regards
