set secure bit for KL25Z256
. Oct 6, 2017 at 03:21 PM (15:21 hours)
Staff: Kevin M.

  • Hi. we have two Multilink FX debug and also a cyclone programmer. We've been using CW 10.7 to develop and program our board with a KL25Z256 Kinetis microprocessor running a bare metal project with files that were originally created with Processor Expert, but that are no longer part of the project.

Is there a way during programming to set the secure bit so that the .elf program cannot be read by a customer?

    Thanks
    Mark

  • Mark,

I believe to do this using code warrior you need to modify the linker file.

However, if you are looking to production program, may I recommend the cyclone line of programmers or our interactive programmer PROGACMP?

    Best,

    Kevin
