Cyclone MAX updated with Cyclone Pro firmware

  • Dear Team:

As I connected my Cyclone MAX to PC it updated the firmware automatically, but after that the LCD screen turned blank. When I re-connected it to PC and run Image Creation, it seems that it used to be recognized as Cyclone Pro and the firmware has been updated accordingly.

Could you tell me how to restore the firmware?
    Appreciate your support!

    Best Regards,
    Wang

  • Greetings,

There are 2 ways this could have happened. Either someone made a change to a firmware file to cause the cyclone max to think it was getting a new firmware, or you switched from a cyclone pro hardware to cyclone max just before a firmware event triggered.

You will need to create a support ticket with us by going to Support page -> Support requests. There we can provide you the correct method of getting this resolved without having to send the unit to us for reprogramming.

  • I have a Cyclone MAX that is displaying an identical issue as that described above: blank LCD screen after a firmware update and the cyclonetype property now says Cyclone PRO. Is there a known solution to this issue?

    Thanks,

  • Greetings,

Cyclone pro?! Someone has been modifying the firmware files on the computer where this issue occurred.

Are you still able to connect and use the cyclone, or is it no longer able to communicate to your computer? If you cannot talk to it anymore, then you may have bricked the unit. It will need to be sent in to us for reprogramming.

If you are still able to talk to it, then I want you to go to Support page -> Support requests and create a ticket for me so we can resolve this issue.
