Dead Multilink universal FX Rev. A
Massimiliano T. Oct 5, 2016 at 05:38 AM (05:38 hours)
Staff: Johnny N.

  • I have a damaged Multilink Universal FX rev.A: I found a T3 broken diode (?). Could you please tell us the part-number?
Moreover I see 8.3ohm across R37 and other components/pins... it's not a fault of: U20, U21, U22, U17, R37, C26, C24, C25 because I removed and then moved back them in place without seeing any change in the impedance (I desoldered the component then measured then re-soldered). Could you please help me solving this issue?
Thank you very much for your kind support

  • Hi Massimiliano,

I think you have a short between the target power pin and ground.

    T3 is Fairchild 1N752A_T50R or 1N5232B

I would try to replace the following components:

    Outputs:
    U20, U21, U23 Diodes BAS40BRW-7-F
    U8, U9, U10 TI: SN74LVC2G126DCTR

    Inputs:
    U18 TI SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4
    U22 TI SN74LVC2G08DCTR
