  • Hello,
There is a problem in programming 56F8323 with CodeWarrior for DSC56800E v8.2
I have a USB Multilink Universal (PEmicro) ,and I installed codewarrior 8.2 in win7 64bit,when I plugin the Multilink,
its appear "usb Multilink" in device manager.
when i want to program DSC(mc56f8323) with freescale 56800E Flash programmer or CodeWarrior IDE , i Encounter with this error:"CCCSClient::ConfigChain: USB open failure".
Thanks in advance for any help

    • please use code warrior 10.7 eclipse because i face same problem but after use 10.7 version it solved

  • Greetings,

Did you make sure to change the firmware on your multilink to support the DSC architecture? Use the firmware updater utility found in the multilink resource CD:

I also want you to try using our PROG DSC software, which is free. See if you are able to connect to your DSC target with your multilink. Select the algorithm that best fits your chip and use commands like Show Module to see the contents of flash:

    • Dear Takao Yamada,
Thank you so much for the help!
PROG DSC software work correctly and The problem has being solved.
To debug with CodeWarrior v8.3 on Windows 7,I must be used USBTAP.
CodeWarrior v8.3 or 56800E Flash programmer does not support Multilink Universal.
To program Multilink Universal, I must be choose Eclipse CodeWarrior v10.7
