debugging KL16Z256VLH4 with Multilink Universal

  • I have successfully interfaced the Mutilink with the microcontroller and programmed the memory. I've started debug activities but can't figure out how to display the values of variables as the program executes. I am using the Kinetics Design Studio V3.0.0 software development tool. I previously used the InDart One with CodeWarrior and the variable list was shown and the values could be observed as the program executed. I assume this is available somehow with Multilink.

  • Greetings,

There is nothing special you need to do with the hardware to get this working. This is not a limitation on hardware or firmware or drivers. Something in the software or project is not allowing the variables to populate. You may want to check your compiler settings and make sure variables are being listed in the ELF file correctly.

  • Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I'll contact Freescale since I am using the Kenetis Design Studio to see if they can offer any guidance.
