  • Hallo!
I have the big problem with connecting USB-ML-UNIVERSAL with CodeWarrior 8.2.3 for DSC56F8000E. I have Windows 7. Thank you

  • Greetings,

The Codewarrior for DSC does not have the ability to connect using USB ports.
It is such an old product by Freescale that USB protocol was still a new
technology and parallel port was the only option. Unfortunately, parallel port
hardware and driver support has been dropped since the introduction of Windows
7 and 64-bit machines that there really is no hope in getting Codewarrior
    working with the latest technologies.

My suggestion is to compile your project in Codewarrior to generate the ELF or
S19 file needed to flash program your device. Then use our free PROGDSC
software to program that ELF or S19 file into your device using the

May I also suggest looking into getting Freescale/NXP's Codewarrior 10.x
eclipse version, which fully supports DSC architecture and also supports the
latest P&E hardware, flash programming, AND debugging. You can try to import
your project in your old Codewarrior into the new. Please work with NXP's
technical support to get this working for you.
