Connecting Code Warrior to an FTDI232 Arduino

  • I have a USB 2.0 connecting to a microUSB on an FTDI232 (Arduino).

    A few questions....

    1) Is this possible/anyone ever done this?

    2) How do I get CodeWarrior to recognize this serial interface?

    3) Is there a serial interface on the U Multilink that can make this
happen (and what would the wiring for it look and on which pin port)?

  • Greetings,

You have the wrong product to work on Arduino.

    1) I think you are asking the wrong crowd.

    2) No, Codewarrior will recognize P&E interfaces with serial on the Cyclone hardware. You could open a console in Codewarrior and try sending and receiving data. But you could do that with any console or terminal downloaded online that supports serial. You need Codewarrior to connect to the U Multilink to program devices that it can support:

    3) No. U Multilink is a USB interface that works on P&E and Freescale software. We discourage modification of the U Multilink. Doing so will void all warranty and the support team will not be able to help you.
