GDB Server for Freescale SPC5604

  • Does P&E micro still provide a gdb debug server for Freescale's SPC5604?

I'm using the P&E USB Multilink debug probe, connected to the 5604, but I would like to use GDB in Eclipse, rather than using ICDPPCNEXUS.

I'm aware that the m68k-elf-sprite would do the job, but this file seems to have vanished from the internet!

    Many thanks for your help.

  • Greetings,

Currently ICDPPCNEXUS is your best solution. We are in alpha development on getting a GDB debugger for Freescale's Qorivva chip. (Yes your chip is a Qorivva chip).

The estimate time of release is end of Q2 of next year. So please be patient as we continue to add support and work with Freescale.

Do you have any other questions or concerns?

  • Dear Takao Yamada,

Thank you for the information, I look forward to using the GDB debugger for Qorivva very much.

I do not have any more questions at this time.

    Many thanks.

  • Hi Takao,

are there any updates on GDB support for Qorivva?

  • Greetings,

It is already out, I believe. Go checkout NXP's website for the S32 E200 IDE.

  • Thanks!

I didn't find it because it's listed in NXP's ARM tools.
