Reading flash data

  • Hello, everyone.

I need to know if it's possible read my microcontroller data and burn this data into another microcontroller.

I'm using a MC9RS08KA4 mcu and a USB BDM Multilink interface.
    My code has no protection.

For those who can help me, I'll be grateful.

    Regards, Bruno.

  • Greetings,

You can indeed read the data flash as long as the chip is not secured.

You will need to purchase a software for your chip's architecture called "PROG RS08":

Within this software once you load the correct algorithm for your chip, you can use the command "upload module" to read all of the data off the flash.

  • Greetings,

Do you have any other questions?

  • I thought that was another way or were easier, but, apparently, is not so simple.
    Thank you, gentleman, that's all.
