  • Hi,

I will be using cosmic compilor , Multilink programmer/debugger for 68HC08 micro. I need to know which software debugging tool/IDE to use for this.
I heard of Code Warrior but for that i saw it comes with the license too, if i buy that then still do i need to buy Cosmic compilor dongle ? Or it just comes with compilor license and i just need to buy CodeWarrior dev suite and multilink programmer/debugger and no seperate license?

Else suggest cheaper option to work on 68HC08 chip.

    • Hi Shweta,

If you are working with 68HC08 devices, we offer a no-cost software package, PKG08SZ, you may download it here:

Description: "Debugger/programmer package for all 68HC08. Includes interactive flash/eeprom programmer (PROG08SZ), debugger (ICD08SZ), and WinIDE. Works with P&E's popular HC08 debug interfaces: MON08 Multilink, USB-ML-MON08, MON08 Cyclone, Cyclone PRO. Now supports Windows XP, Vista, and 7 32/64 bit."

Them most cost-effective P&E hardware dongle that works with that software is the USB MON08 Multilink, at $99:
