ICDCFZ for the Multilink Universal

  • Hello,

The company for which I work recently bought a couple of new MULTILINK UNIVERSAL interfaces for bringing up some boards using MCF52252 Cold fire V2 chips. We also bought the latest PROGCFZ installation disk to support them.
I have been able to connect, erase, and program the flash, but there was no In Circuit Debugger included in the package, so things are going kind of slow. I was under the impression that the debugger was included in the PROGCFZ installation. (I've uninstalled and re-installed and it's still not there).
So the question is, how can I get a copy of the in circuit debugger (ICDCFZ or something like it) that is compatible with the new Multilink Universal?
    Is is sold separately?

  • Hi Tom_too,

P&E generally separates the debugger and flash programmer software to let customers purchase exactly what they need. We have a number of customers who are only interested in flash programming and only need to purchase PROGCFZ. If you need debugging capability, you will need to purchase ICDCFZ separately. Both software are compatible with the USB Multilink Universal.

I apologize if this has caused confusion.

    Best regards,
    Edison
