using cyclone or usb-tap under wine/crossover

  • I have multiple Cyclone MAX and USB-TAP devices.
I am trying to get NXP's Codewarrior 7.1 running under Crossover's Wine,
running under Ubuntu 16.4 on an x64 laptop.

    The compiler/linker pair is working.

    Debugging is not working.

Flashing & debugging fail, as I can't get a connection.
It fails when NXP's IDE is configured for USB-TAP or ETHERNET-TAP.

When installed Codewarrior, I got the following complaints(summary):
failed to install WinDriver's kernel module - no more data available
failed getting device class for INF file
    C/Program Files/Freescale/CodeWarrior for ColdFire V7.1/Drivers
    | CycloneProR1.inf
    | usbmultilink_rev20.inf
    | usbmultilink_rev20_interface0.inf
    | usbmultilink_serial_interface1.inf
    C/Program Files/odeWarrior for ColdFire V7.1/ccs/drivers/usb/x32/usbtap.inf
failed to install WinDriver's kernel module - no more data available

The problem seems related to Jungo WinDriver, which does not exist
    under Wine.

I downloaded & tried to install both PEDrivers_install.exe and
cyclone_pro_install.exe into an empty virtual machine, but did not succeed.

Is Jungo WinDriver required for both ethernet and USB p&e device access?
Can we work with you to get this working?
    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks, Paul
