Can your programming software calculate and return a checksum?
The PEmicro PROG flash programming software includes a Verify Checksum command. It will calculate a 16 bit checksum of a block of addresses contained in the S19 file and compares it to the same block of addresses on the target device. If there is a checksum mismatch, PROG will report a verify error and display the two different results in the status window which you can log. We only have one type of checksum at this time.

If you have additional questions about the verify checksum feature, please open a ticket under Support.
