With the release of Cyclone software v11.81 and PROGACMP software v10.13, PEmicro development and production programmers now support the Elmos E523.63 motor-controller SoC. The E523.63 is a fully integrated motor controller with four half bridges, each rated for 1000 mA. It is based on a 40 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M23 core with 64 KB of flash program memory, and includes a system ROM with a bootloader and LIN stack. The device is a universal controller for brushed DC, stepper, and brushless DC motors. It provides a LIN 2.2 interface with autobaud and auto-addressing, and user-configurable GPIOs for SPI, SENT, analog input, and the Arm SWD interface. The E523.63 operates from a 7 V to 18 V supply, with limited operation from 5.5 V to 28 V and load-dump tolerance to 40 V, in a TSSOP16-EP package.
