P&E's Power Architecture 5xx/8xx BDM Development Packages are powerful, inexpensive Windows-based development suites for Freescale's MPC5xx and MPC8xx microcontrollers. The packages include P&E's in-circuit debugger, flash programmer, development environment, assembler, register decoder, and a P&E hardware debug interface.

Power Architecture 5xx/8xx (BDM) Development Packages include one of the following hardware debug interfaces:
- CABLE_PPC - Power Architecture 5xx/8xx BDM Interface (Parallel-Port-To-Target, 5V)
- USB-ML-PPCBDM - Power Architecture 5xx/8xx BDM Interface (USB-Port-To-Target, 1.8V-5.5V)
- CYCLONE_MAX - Power Architecture 5xx/8xx BDM Interface (USB/Serial/Ethernet-Port-To-Target, 1.8V-5.5V)

ICDPPCZ - Power Architecture 5xx/8xx In-Circuit Debugger
P&E's ICDPPCZ is a powerful tool for debugging code. It uses the processor's background debug mode (BDM), via the BDM interface, to give the user access to all on-chip resources.
Debugger features include:
- Full-speed in-circuit emulation
- Breakpoints with counters on the Nth execution
- Variables window showing bytes, words,
- Realtime execution as well as multiple tracing modes
- Startup and Macro files for automating the debug process
- Context-sensitive help for all commands
- Timing measurement and execution count functions
- Support for symbolic register files
- Full assembly souce-level debugging
- C source-level debugging (ELF/Dwarf, IEEE695)
PROGPPCZ - Power Architecture 5xx/8xx Flash/EEPROM Programmer
P&E's PROFPPCZ Flash/EEPROM Programmer allows you to program flash devices in-circuit via a P&E's BDM interface. The programmer talks to the processor's Background Debug Mode through the BDM interface, which connects the PC to the BDM connector on the target system. PROGPPCZ also includes the command-line version of the programmer software - CPROGPPCZ. Together they are perfect for development, production line programming, or field firmware upgrades.
In addition, the programmer comes with P&E's entire library of MPC5xx and MPC8xx programming algorithms.

WinIDEPPCZ - Windows Integrated Development Environment
P&E's WinIDEPPCZ allows you to run external programs - including assemblers, C compilers, debuggers, and flash programmers - in one environment, with a single hotkey for each. WinIDE comes installed with P&E's CASMPPCZ assembler.
Editor features include:
- Fully Reconfigurable
- Allows execution of external programs
- On-screen help
Assembler features include:
- Macro support
- S19, HEX, ELF/DWARF(v. 2.0) objects
- Conditional assembly

 P&E Hardware Interface Drivers Version 9 (Windows 98/ME)

Installs P&E drivers to allow P&E applications to communicate with P&E hardware via the parallel port, PCI bus, Ethernet, Serial, and USB. This does not include the application level support which comes with the different products. This install will also work for Windows 2000/XP, but for these operating systems you should download v10 instead. |
