Third-Party Support

We have also partnered with companies such as IAR, Freescale, and Keil to bring outstanding third-party software to our Kinetis solutions. Software tools such as Workbench, CodeWarrior, and µVision work seamlessly with P&E's Cyclone MAX and USB Multilink Universal hardware interfaces.

USB Multilink Universal & USB Multilink Universal FX

P&E’s USB Multilink Universal and USB Multilink Universal FX are the next step forward for P&E’s successful line of USB Multilinks: all-in-one interfaces. The USB Multilink Universal is focused on affordability, and the USB Multilink Universal FX is focused on blazing speed. Both offer outstanding versatility and value.

As all-in-one interfaces, they each combine support, in a single interface, for many Freescale architectures. Each supports: Kinetis® ARM, Qorivva® MPC55xx/56xx, Power Architecture PX Series, ColdFire® V1/ColdFire+ V1, ColdFire V2-4, HCS08, HC(S)12, and DSC. The FX also supports HC16/683xx MCUs. The Multilink Universal is an easy-to-use debug and programming interface which allows the PC to communicate with a target processor through the USB port of the PC. It controls the microprocessor by accessing the debug port of the target.

In-Circuit Debugger

Third-party software such as IAR's Workbench, Freescale's CodeWarrior, and Keil's µVision can be used with a P&E hardware interface, such as the USB Multilink Universal or Cyclone MAX, to control the target processor’s execution, read/write registers and memory, and perform full C source-level debug.

Cyclone MAX

The Cyclone MAX is a stand-alone programmer that’s designed for production environments, from small-batch to high-volume. It features multiple communications options, including Ethernet, and an easy to navigate LCD menu screen. The Cyclone’s memory can be expanded, and programming with one or more Cyclones can be completely automated.

Flash Programmer

P&E's PROGARMCortex In-Circuit Programmer can be used with a P&E hardware interface, such as the Multilink Universal or Cyclone MAX, to program internal and external flash devices.
