Custom PC Applications for Interfacing with P&E Hardware

P&E Microcomputer System’s UNIT libraries allow you to create custom software applications that interface with P&E hardware, such as the USB Multilink and Cyclone. These applications can then be used with the hardware to control the execution of an embedded Freescale processor.

The UNIT library is a DLL-based driver on the PC which may be called from C or Delphi. Test applications can be created in any development environment that interacts with a Windows Dynamic Link Library. The DLL uses one of P&E’s many hardware interfaces to communicate via bit-shifted information to the processor’s debug port. The hardware being tested should have a debug connector or debug test points to allow connection of the P&E hardware.
