Hello,

I work for a while with USB-ML-12E on my Desktop PC (Windows XP SP3) and have no problem.

Recently, i received a new USB-ML-12E for a Laptop PC (Toshiba Tecra on Windows 7 SP1).

It work fine on my Desktop PC but not on the Laptop.

I tried the old one on the laptop, and it don't work too.

Drivers are installed on both computers (drivers_10_install.exe).

What happens???
I plug the USB-ML on the USB port of the laptop PC.
The blue (and yellow) LED's still off.
And there is no reaction from Win7 too. (I try all my USB port with other USB device and they works).

I restart the Laptop.
No led on the USB-ML.
In the Windows Device Manager, i see an "Unknown Device".
If I unplug the USB ML, the "Unknown Device" disappear.
If I plug it again, there is no reaction.

Is there someone who have a solution or have the same probleme???
Thanks. (And sorry for my english). rolleyes.gif

Hello Jhlg,

Do you happen to have access to a powered USB hub? If that is the case, please try to plug that into your PC and then connect your multilink unit into it. Please let us know if this resolves your problem.

What version of P&E/Freescale software are you using? Which device are you working with? What is the revision number of USB ML 12E hardware interface you are using?

Best Regards,
Zahar

Hello Zahar, and thank you for your reply.

My problem seems to come from my laptop USB port.
Since my first post, it was working intermittently.
I recently try with an external powered USB hub, and it works fine.

Thank you again for the time you spend.

Best Regards,
JHLG.
