flash .phy file

One supplier gave support to create a project for us before. Right now they transfered all files to us.

However we can only flash the exact same files (.phy) or rebuilt .phy files to the module. Whenever we modify some logics in c file and rebuilt ( even simple logic like changing a number ), the new .phy file can be flashed into module but the function did not work well. We have tried several kinds of changes but still don't work.

What we have done was to flash the selected module only. Do we also need to handle some things about serail number and CRC check and so on?

Thanks

Programming cyclone pro (again...)

Hi,

I know people have answered similar questions to this before, but I just can't find the right algorithm for this to work.
Worth mentioning is that this worked fine with a previous release of the cyclone pack (about 4 years old), and with the same s19, but after a reinstall of the PC it now doesn't.

I need to production program the MC9S12XD256 device, both flash and eeprom. I also link stuff in the RAM for a bootloader, but I suppose the loader pushes the code there automatically or I've forgotten what I did when I programmed it 5 years ago...

However, I always get the error:

"Checking range of S records. Invalid address detected.
Incalid Addresses in srecord block from $0013F000 to $0013F01F
ERROR 53 during script."

I have tried every algorithm that I think would suite like
Freescale_9S12XD256_1x16x128k_256k_Linear_16k_page_PLL.12P
Freescale_9S12XD256_1x16x128k_256k_Linear_16k_page.12P

Now, before you say don't use the _256k file or a short version like any of these:

9S12xdp512_512k.12P
9S12xdp512_512k_Logical.12P
9S12dp256_256k.12P
9S12dp256_4k.12P
9S12kt256_256k.12P
(The last ones I found in a zip file I checked in to my revision server about 4 years ago when all this worked...)

Please try this with the latest cyclone_pro_install.exe.

Or by all means either email me the algorithm or point out my stupidness.

Please help!
Kind regards
Hjalmar

Programming Dynamic Data in 9S12XEP100

Hello,

I need to program Dynamic data into a 9S12XEP100. I have the Cyclone Pro set up in Stand Alone mode and can send the Start command over RS-232 to program the device. My problem is sending the Dynamic data program command. When I send the command do I need to send a checksum of the data I am sending? How is the checksum calculated.

Regards,

Paul
