NXP S32K146 tigger erase all unsecure command

Staff: Mika I.

  • I had a board that accidently set some of the FPROT (flash protect flag) and cause the MCU not able to re-flash. I would like to perform an all erase unsecure (ERSALLU) command to erase all the protect flag, how can I doing that using PE multilink FX?

  • Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. What target board are you using? I'll check if we currently have supported added for an unsecure.

    • NXP S32k146

  • Hi,

We do support an unsecure of the S32K146. If you try to connect to a secured S32K146 device in PROGACMP, you should be prompted to unsecure (and mass erase) your device. Let me know if you have any problems.

    Best,
    Mika

  • I am not using PROGACMP, I am using NXP S32 design studio eclipse plugin to flash the MCU. It is possible to perform all erase unsecure?

  • Hi,

The unsecure should also be supported in our eclipse plug-in. If your device is secure, when you launch a debug session in S32 DS, you should be given a prompt to unsecure your device.

    Best,
    Mika
