Having issue with Cyclone FX License with older .dll file

  • We currently have a c# application that uses the older cyclone dll and we are trying to recreate that set up on a new computer. We have bought the new cyclone fx that has the advance automation license on it, but everytime the program runs it asks for a license activation. Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?

  • Also it's the CYCLONE_CONTROL.dll

    • Hi Tim,

      1) If you want to use the advanced automation license that is stored on your Cyclone FX, take the new DLL C:\PEMicro\cyclone\cycloneControl\controlsdk\deploy\CycloneControlSDK.dll and rename it to cyclone_control.dll. It will check for licensing on the Cyclone and the functions from the old dll should still work.

      2) You can't use the old cyclone_control.dll because it doesn't know how to check hardware licenses. If you still want to use it, then you have to activate it on the PC side with your Automated Control Package installation code.
