Cyclone (for ARM) target voltage protection

  • I see from the data sheets that Cyclone programmers are 'production ready' with voltage protection circuitry but I have not been able to find out what the ratings of that are. Another post in the forum states that they have zener and schottky diode protection but I need to know whether, in a fault condition on the target, the programmers would be safe against 36VDC appearing on their programming ports. I'm currently using Cyclone for ARM programmers.

    Thanks, Mike.

    • Hi Mike,

Which Cyclone for ARM revision are you using? The rev is on the back label.

  • Hi Johnny,

    It's Cyclone_ACP Rev B.

    Thanks,

    Mike.

  • Hi Mike,

The Schottky diodes we use are rated 40VDC. So your 36VDC on programming ports should be fine.

    Best Regards
