USB Multilink issue and Kinetis Design Studio

  • Just received a new USB Multilink. When trying to setup a debug configuration in Kinetis Design Studio 3.2, the debug probe doesn't show up under "Port". I can see it under the device manager -> Jungo Connectivity. Is there a setting or something else that I am missing?

    • Hi,

      In your device manager do you see the following:

      Jungo -> WinDriver
      Jungo -> USB Multilink 2.0

      The blue LED must be on if the multilink is properly enumerated.

      Since the USB-ML-ACP is a brand new interface, you also need the latest eclipse plugins. Please see this guide for directions on how to update KDS.

  • Greetings,

    When you got the new multilink, did you follow the quick start guide to download the multilink resource CD? Did you use the firmware updater utility to get the latest drivers and firmwares?

  • Thank you for the quick replies. Yes I followed the direction from the quick start guide. The solution was having to update the eclipse plugins and now I am able to connect with no issues.

    However, another issue has come up. I am unable to set any breakpoints. The console states the following:

    Target has been RESET and is active.
    Interrupt command received. Halting execution.

  • Greetings,

    Any update on this? Are you still not able to set breakpoints?
