ICDCFZ Error communicating to target processor
SHELLEY O. May 8, 2017 at 02:43 PM (14:43 hours)
Staff: Johnny N.

  • I get "Error communicating to target processor" message every time when my code trying to allocate memory in heap. I only used very basic function like 'malloc' or 'calloc'. I also tested that I can write and read from the memory window to that address successfully. Not sure what possibly went wrong here.

  • Shelley,

Which ColdFire processor are you debugging? What version of ICDCFZ are you using?

Are you sure the error messages only occur when you try to allocate memory on the heap and that there is no possibility of another issue (such as an external watchdog timer?

    Regards,
