Remote control of MPC5553 microcontroller with C

  • Hello,

We are using a NXP MPC5553 microcontroller and we need to:
    -set breakpoints
    -run to breakpoints
    -read variable values
    -write variable values
    -read register values
    -write register values

Using the C programming language. We saw the UNITPPCNEXUS dll (http://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=15320041).

Is this the correct product to do what we're looking into?

I just wanted to confirm before we purchased. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Greetings,

You are correct that the UNIT PPCNEXUS DLL can be used to run, step, set breakpoint, read/write variables and registers. It can also load RAM binaries. But it there is no support for flash programming.

    • Thank you for the quick reply. Is there a product that supports flash programming through a C API and works in tandem with UNITPPCNEXUS?

  • Greetings,

We have our PROG software you can use to flash program, but is not a C code API. Only the UNIT library has an API.
