Does USB Multilink Universal Rev.B support LPC17xx?

  • Hi,

I have USB Multilink Universal Rev.B and would like to debug LPC17xx MCU. On your site I see information that "NXP LPC LPC1756 is supported!", but I cannot connect to the target - I got information that target is not supported.
    How can I proceed?

  • Greetings,

The rev A/B of Multilink universal and rev A of multilink universal FX will not work with the NXP LPC devices. These multilinks were developed and sold before the Freescale and NXP merger so the hardware and firmware they did not have the capability to support the NXP devices. We were mainly a Freescale-chip support back then.

Starting rev C of multilink universal and rev B of multilink universal FX, we included the support and you will have the ability to connect to the NXP LPC devices.

  • Thank you for information!
