  • I am out of a warranty period and my Universal Multilink is dead, how can I get service treatment to get it fixed? Product purchased via Farnell.

  • Greetings,

If the warranty was still good, then you would have had to go through Farnell. But since your item is out of warranty and you wish to get the item repaired/replaced, then all you need is an RMA ticket. You will see one in your P&E account.

Please detail in the ticket what is wrong with the multilink. Does the LED's light up? Can the computer detect it? Does it get warm/hot? Do you smell burnt electronics? What target do you normally connect this multilink to?

    • Sorry, I am trying to find where the RMA sits but I give up. I don't see it im my account panel, so where is it?

      OK:
      1. Both LED are light up even when debugger is not connected to target.
      2. Yes, main chip is getting hot.
      3. No, I don't smell it already.
      4. Kinetis, HC12. With both working since 3 years when I bought it.
      5. Device is not recognized/detected by PC anymore.
      6. Device does not blow USB port current limitter.
      7. Device does not generate USB error.
      8. No other chip is getting hot.
      9. Target processor works fine.

All happened during n-reprogramming of chip I worked with for 2-3 weeks.

  • Greetings,

It is under support and support requests.
