PROG08SZ driver not installed after restart

  • Dear all

We're trying to use PROG08SZ V5.15.1.0 with PE Driver V12.3.1.0.
We could successfully install both software and driver.
There were 2 new drivers shown in the device manager (WinDriver Jungo 11.1.0.0 respectively USB Multilink 2.0 Jungo LTD 12.2.0.0) and everything is working so far.
However, after we've been restarting the pc only the WinDriver is shown in the device manager and one unknown device.
We tried to install the missing driver "automatically" but we soon got an error that the optimal driver is already installed.
After reinstalling drivers and a couple of restarts we unplugged the MON08 device and plugged it in again. The "unknown" device was installed immediately.
This behaviour is suitable for work and very annoying.
Do you know this issue? Is there a workaroud or fix?
Our environment is Windows 7 Enterprise x86.

    best regards Chris

  • Greetings,

This is a known behavior and there is no workaround. It has to do with the USB chip that was used in the MON08 multilink and other older multilinks. All new multilinks and cyclones have been updated with new USB chips and no longer behave this way. Unfortunately there are no newer multilinks that support the MON08 architecture.

    • Hello Takao

Thank you for your fast reply.
In that case we will not waste time on that.
The responsible colleague is already thinking about alternatives.

      best regards Chris
