USB Multilink won't recognize in PROG32Z

Staff: Mikhail A.

  • An old product has resurfaced for us to build and I used to program with
CPROG32Z via USB-ML. Now I have a MultilinkFX and cannot get my old program to
communicate to the device through the FX. I am using a WIN7 system with
CPROG16Z and the FX to program a different product and that works. Using that
WIN7 PC which also has PROG32Z I cannot see the USB-MLFX. I tried to use the
USB-MultilinkFX on the system we used to use with CPROG32Z but it won't see the
USB-ML-FX, that machine is a WINXP. Unfortunately I do not have any old USB-ML
    modules to try.

Do I have the correct firmware for the AMD loaded into the FX? Loaded is the
    HC16/683xx

    Thanks

  • Dear Larry,

This issue is caused by an old version of PROG32Z which does not support the Multilink FX. Upgrading to the newest version will resolve this issue.

    Regards,
