Issue transitioning from USB-ML-PPCNEXUS to USB-ML-UNIVERSAL-FX

  • I am transitioning from using discontinued USB-ML-PPCNEXUS to USB-ML-UNIVERSAL-FX. When I try to program an MPC5634, I get the error "Error loading .PCP file : C:\Program Files\PEMicro\PROGPPCNEXUS\Algorithms\Freescale_MPC5634M_1x32x384k_LCFlash.PCP at address 00300001" I previously had no issues programming using USB-ML-PPCNEXUS. I am using PROGPPCNEXUS Version 1.42.00.01. Any suggestions?

  • Greetings,

The USB ML Universal FX is a much faster device. So you should slow down the debug shift speed to be able to establish a stabler connection. Open up the PROG software and the option should be in the connection manager. My experience is that selecting option 5 (roughly 4MHZ) has given me the most success.

Let me know if that worked for you.

  • Greetings,

Any update on this? Did the shift frequency solve the issue?
