Programming a MPC5645S

  • Hi,

I would to program a MPC5645S using the USB-ML-UNIVERSAL. However, I want to program without the "JCOMP" and "TVCC" pins. Is it possible to program it using this configuration?
Can we set the "TVCC" via software?
What problems will we have if we do not connect neither the "TVCC" pin nor the "JCOMP"?

  • Greetings,

JCOMP will depend on the chip whether you need it or not. It is used to reset the Nexus. By default it is disabled, at least for the MPC5645S, so you may not need it.

TVCC is a must. We use it as a reference voltage and without it we would not be able to know if 3.3V is high or is it 5V? There is nothing in software to determine this because it is done within the buffers found inside the P&E hardware interface.

  • Greetings,

And update on this? Were you able to finally connect using the multilink?

    • We connect an external reference voltage on the TVCC pin and then works.

      Thanks for the help.
