  • Hi Guy,

Any body known how read firmware back via cyclone Pro or Codewarrior?

I want to back up original firmware before reload new firmware on it.

    Thank you.

  • Greetings,

On the Cyclone Pro and Cyclone Max, there is no way to read back the firmware on the unit. This is intentional to protect your intellectual property from being taken. It is always advised to save the image creation utility configurations by going to File Menu -> Save configurations, or save the SAP file using Save Image to Disk.

If you have the cyclone Universal, you will not have to erase the whole internal memory to replace or remove any images like in the cyclone pro or max. There is a file system implemented. However, it is still impossible to read back the image onto a computer. It is a one-way road.
