Need to be able to capture port and ram data with target running at full speed

  • I am using a 9S12 processor. I need to be able to capture real time port and ram data while the target is running at full speed.
I would like this data to show in the debugger window if possible.
What software/hardware do I need to do this?
Can Codewarrior with Multilink BDM do this?
I have read that the 9S12 core can do this through the built in BDM hardware.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Greetings,

Codewarrior and P&E hardware does not have this kind of capability to show real-time data. P&E tools has the ability to resume, halt, set breakpoints, and view data when stepping. But does not have the feature of displaying data while the chip is running.

This feature of real-time data is currently only supported in ColdFire and PowerPC Nexus devices.
