MultiLink Universal gets warm, is this normal?

  • Hello,

I purchased a MultiLink off of Digikey a couple of weeks ago and have never been able to make it work. I was wondering if the unit is supposed to get hot. Its not slightly warm, its quite hot. Not enough to burn, but one can tell that something inside is terribly hot.

Is this how it is supposed to be or should I return it and get another one?

    Thank you!

  • Greetings,

There is no need to create another forum thread.

No, your multilink should not get warm at all. Your multilink is very likely damaged. Was the multilink always hot, or this is a recent problem?

You should look into Digikey's warranty and figure out if you can get it exchanged. You must work with Digikey first since you decided to purchase through them and not us.

If Digikey will not take your multilink, then you can have it repaired or replaced at a cost through our system.
