Waht is needed for a legacy MC68332 SW Project

  • Dear Forum reader,

we are facing maintenance and update on SW for the MC68332. So what is required ?

    - In the Past we had, Microtec Ass. + C Compiler + PE Micro on LPT for Flash Prg.

    This is all gone.

    - New ?

    - An USB BDM Tool ?
    - An Updated Version of the P&E Flash Programmer Utility ?

    - Is there a GNU 68K Support available or what kind of IDE + Ass Comp Debugger
is required ? I understand that I will need to modify code, linker cmd and
make files in order to run it using other compiler than Microtec.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Greetings,

Unfortunately the solutions keep dwindling as this part is becoming a legacy chip architecture.

We do not have any solutions for an IDE and assembler/compiler. But we do have software for flash programming (PROG32Z), for debugging (ICD32Z), and the hardware to support these software (USB-ML-Universal FX rev B).

    USB-ML-Universal FX:

For an IDE, you may want to contact Freescale and have them give you any 3rd party solutions.
