  • Hello.

At first, i'd like to seek your understand for my bad English.

I'm a firmware programmer. and I have a question about Cyclone MAX.

    Q. Is it possible to program ST SPC560B54 MCU (768kb program flash)with Cyclone MAX?

I heard that there are many writing tools that can write SPC56 MCUs. But that tools are only can write SPC560B40,50,64 series, and it is hard to find the tool that can write SPC560B54 MCU.

So, I'd like to know whether it is possible or not.

  • Greetings,

Yes, the cyclone max can program the ST SPC560B54 device. There are many tools you can use to program the ST SPC56xx and I will list them here with ideas of which is best for you:

    Multilink Universal
Cheapest product with average programming speed. Will be slow to program full 768KB of flash. Will need to purchase software as well, like PROG or Freescale's Codewarrior to program the chip:

    Multilink Universal FX
Fast programming speed. Programming will be done in seconds for full 768KB of flash. Will need to purchase software as well, like PROG or Freescale's Codewarrior to program the chip:

    Cyclone Max
Fast programming speed. Programming will be done in seconds. NO software purchase needed. Standalone capability means no computer needed on production line:
