Cyclone Pro Power supply

  • Are the Cyclone Pro for Freescale and the one for Renesas programmers able to use other supply voltage besides the stated 6VDC? (i.e. 5vdc - 9vdc ?)

I have to share the single 9vdc power supply on a test station for other programmers which use nominal 12vdc (working range 9vdc - 14vdc)and would like to avoid adding unnecessary hardware.

  • Greetings,

Great question and the answer is all of our cyclones can work between 6V to 24V. So 9V or 12V would work just fine.

    • Excellent!, perhaps it's a good idea to add this information to the programmer's manual. It's valuable information but is not listed anywhere.

Thanks for a quick response, you guys are awesome.
