Is there any utility that uses the P&E USB multilink interface to read and save the machine codes or assemble codes from an un-protected or un-secured flash MCU (HCS12 series)?

  • Hello, I want to get the machine codes or assemble codes from a HCS12 target board. The HCS12 MCU chip is un-protected and un-secured. Is there any utility that uses the P&E USB multilink interface to read and save the machine codes or assemble codes from an un-protected or un-secured flash MCU (HCS12 series)?

  • Greetings,

You should purchase the PROG12Z software:

In there is a command called Upload Module (UM). Use this to dump the memory contents into S19 format. Then you can use that later to program another chip.
