use USB-ML-PPCBDM with Nexus JTag

  • I have a USB-ML-PPCBDM Rev B bought.

Is it possible to use it (with different firmware or so) with the Nexus Jtag (MPC5604P) instead of BDM?

  • additional: I want to use CodeWarrior For Freescale MPC55xx v2.10

  • Greetings,

Unfortunately, no you cannot use the PPCBDM to work on PPCNEXUS. It involves different pin size and circuitry. May I suggest you in getting one of our multilink universal FX hardware which supports both architectures:

  • Is there a USB-ML-PPCBDM Rev B documentation for JP1, JP3 and JP4 available?

  • Greetings,

I understand you are looking at the other pin configurations on the board itself. However, you also must understand the firmware inside the multilink for PPCBDM will only work for PPCBDM. You can do your best trying to wire up the correct pins, but if the firmware in the multilink is not correct then you are not getting any progress.
