How to create SAP file from Keil AXF file ?

  • Hello,

We are currently developing using Keil uVision IDE and it generates a .axf file as image file. This format does not seem to be supported by the Cyclone Max GUI interface. Is there a simple way to convert the .axf file .sap ?

    Matthieu T.

  • Matthieu,

One option is to generate a hex file from Keil instead, which our tools do recognize.

    Best Regards,

  • You say "hex file", which means .hex (Intel Hex format) to me. From your Cyclone documentation it sounds like you only support .s19 (Motorola format). Keil's uVision IDE only appears to generate .hex natively.
-What do you mean by "hex file"?
-Does Keil uVision IDE provide a convenient way to produce a .s19 formatted file?

Also, I know you are not a Keil uVision expert, but assume you have some exposure to using it. Is the .axf format equivalent to a .elf with Dwarf2 format or is it Keil's proprietary binary format?

  • Mark,

Our tools can program the .hex file.
