CPROGHCS08 erasing issue

  • Hi,

I am looking for some support. I just started using CPROGHCS08.exe and I am facing an issue.
I would like to test if my device is secured with CPROGHCS08.exe. But I noticed that everytime my device is secured this software erases it.

Is there a way to disable this erasing automatic process?

  • Greetings,

The moment you try to enter background mode, the software is going to erase the device. And we have disabled the pop-up dialog to tell you that the chip is secured and give you the option to exit or erase because CPROG is suppose to be automated. You should not have to click on anything during CPROG.

The best way to check if the chip is secured is by using the regular PROG software instead of CPROG. This will pop up a message telling you the chip is secured. Currently there is no automated way to test for security. However we are looking into implementing such feature in the future.

    • Thank you for this fast answer. I hoped a workaround existed ;)

I will see how I can do this with PROG.

      Have a nice day,

      Vincent L.
