PROG32Z Programmer - Version with Windows 7 64-bit computer

  • I just installed PROG32Z Programmer - Version on a Windows 7 64-bit computer. Every time I open the program, it gives me a PERICRO Connection manager screen, after I select CABLE16/32 for my parallel connection then click connect, the Status Window displayed: "P&E Interface detected- Flash Version ." then the computer displays " prog32z.exe has stopped working". Do I have to do anything to make the program compatible with a 64-bit computer? Thanks!

    The parallel port support was discontinued in Windows 7 64-bit drivers. Our support is only on 32-bit and up to Vista operating system. This is due to computer manufacturers not including parallel ports anymore so we decided to also phase out the support.

    Unfortunately, that means you should either hold to your XP 32-bit machine, or you should look into upgrading your multilink to the USB interface. Our multilink universal FX does support your chip:
